How to identify whether content is written by AI or a human
You know when you read something online and it feels too smooth like it cannot be written by a person. Yeah that happens a lot now. The words sound clean and perfect but they do not feel real.
I have noticed some signs that show when something is written by AI let me share them in simple words.
1. It Sounds Too Perfect
AI does not make mistakes. Every sentence is neat the grammar is right and everything fits together too well but real people do not write like that we make small mistakes we change our thoughts we forget what we were saying that is normal that is what makes it sound human. AI writing feels flat like reading from a school book it has no emotion or warmth.
2. No Real Story
AI can write about anything — even heartbreak. But it has never felt heartbreak, so the words mean nothing inside. When people write, they add real details — like someone saying, “I deleted the chat three times before I finally stopped checking it.” You can tell it really happened to them. AI cannot do that; it just copies the style of feelings.
3. Everything Feels Even
AI paragraphs are always the same size and length. It looks tidy but also boring. Real people don’t write like that. Sometimes we write one small line, then a long one, then another short one. That uneven flow makes it feel alive.
4. It Hides Behind Experts
AI loves to say things like “studies show” or “research says,” but it never tells you which study or who said it. A person might say, “I think I read this somewhere,” or “my friend told me this once.” Even if they’re wrong, it feels real. AI never gives a name because it doesn’t want to sound wrong.
5. About AI Detectors
There are some tools like GPTZero, Copyleaks, and Sapling that can check if text is written by AI. But they’re not always right. If someone edits AI text even a little, the tools often can’t tell anymore. So they help a bit, but not much.
6. Just Ask
If something sounds strange, ask the writer how they wrote it. A real person might tell you about their ideas or how many times they rewrote it. Someone using AI won’t have much to say, because there wasn’t any real thinking behind it.
7. Trust Your Feeling
Sometimes you just know. You can’t explain why, but it feels off. AI writing has no heart inside. Human writing, even when messy, has life in it. You can feel the person behind the words.
